How does it work?

The ultraviolet light scrambles the DNA and RNA of the pathogens, leaving them unable to reproduce, and therefore, dead. Our Sapphire, Exterminator and ACP units are permanent fixtures that are hardwired into the heating, coooling, and ventilation systems and they're left on 100% of the time so mold, mildew, different spores, organisms, bacteria and viruses never have a chance to multiply    and invade our respiratory system. UVdisinfectionstore. com's air disinfection fixtures irradiate the coils and prevent the pathogens from growing on the coil. Each germicidal lamp we use in our air disinfection fixtures will effectively disinfect for 9,000 hours or one-year before needing replacement.

Germicidal UV bulbs use the same mercury vapor gas discharge technology as a standard fluorescent lamp but instead of using fluorescent lime glass a germicidal lamp is made of pure quartz-silica glass. Exposure to ultraviolet UVC light can cause skin burns and severe eye discomfort so it must be completely concealed within the HVAC system. UVC light treats what it comes in immediate surface contact with. So, if there is mold in the wall it won't be able to treat it, but it will treat the air being circulated around the germicidal lamps from within the heating and cooling system.

There are a number of germicidal ultraviolet light fixtures from a variety of manufacturers on the market, but nobody has installed more UV systems or had more experience with ultraviolet technology that our manufacturer has, over 45 years of doing business.
